BRO I GOT 1572 SECONDS!!!!!! I WENT TO SCREENSHOT BUT IT RESTARTED!!!!

Spoilers ahead, do not read this until you have played through yourself.

This was a riveting experience. At first I sort of scoffed at how slow the character was, and how wide the turns were; and thought I might play for a few seconds. Then I thought okay, I'll try to win just so I can write a sort of sarcastic review. But after mowing my first 100 grasses in just over 150 seconds, the desire to optimize kicked in. The music, too, got to me: I almost began to hear a bit of Ravel's Bolero, whose slow-burn pacing evokes a similar thematic air. I also learned that I could travel between the rocks, and that the "back" button can save time during certain otherwise-costly turns. (I do believe the optimal strategy is an "orientation-agnostic" one, where the player is pressing the back button 50% of the time.) And the more I played, the more I realized that this game is a fitting analogue for day-to-day life. I could rush and do a shoddy job and shoot my future self in the foot by missing a single grass somewhere in the acres and acres of stones. Or I could go slow and steady, methodically, and do it the right way, once, the first time.

As I dwindled down to 25 grasses remaining, I was very afraid that I might have missed one. I also couldn't help but wonder what would happen when I won. I had fully prepared myself for nothing to happen at all.

I cannot overstate the internal thrill I felt when I saw "7" in the bottom right and seven little grasses remaining on-screen.

In retrospect it is fitting that the victory screen disappeared before I had the chance to capture it. Just like in real life, our moments of joy are fleeting and impossible to truly capture. The best we can hope for are close approximations.

Thank you for making this wonderful game.
